Our Quotation
Unless specifically stated in writing, our quotation
excludes:
- Customs duties, inspections, permits, tolls, congestion and parking charges
- Delays or circumstances beyond our control
- Dismantling or reassembly of furniture or fittings
- Disconnection or reconnection of appliances
- Disposal or dumping of items
Our quotation may be revised if there are changes in inventory, property access, timings, or unforeseen circumstances.
Services Not Included
Unless previously agreed in writing, we do
not undertake:
- Disconnecting or reconnecting appliances, fixtures, or fittings
- Accessing lofts or attics without safe and secure access
- Dismantling or assembling items with specialist or custom fittings
Customer Responsibilities
As our valued customer, you are kindly asked to:
- Be present or appoint a representative during the move
- Provide accurate information regarding the number of items, access points, and any restrictions
- Arrange parking within 25 metres of the entrance at both collection and delivery locations
- Ensure that nothing is left behind in the vehicle after unloading
- Notify us promptly of any delays, access issues, or changes to the schedule
- Cover any applicable tolls, permits, or parking charges unless otherwise agreed
- Provide a reachable mobile number if you will not be present
Delays and Waiting Time
Should delays arise on the customer’s side, a waiting fee of
£67 per hour per vehicle will apply, unless otherwise agreed in advance.

Payment Terms
- Full payment is kindly requested before unloading or on the job day, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing
- We reserve the right to retain goods in our vehicle(s) until full payment has been made
- While we do not charge interest on overdue payments, timely payment ensures smooth service and insurance coverage
- All payments must be settled in full prior to unloading
- In the event of non-payment, we reserve the right to pursue all appropriate recovery options and may withhold insurance coverage
Insurance & Liability
We include basic liability cover, however, this cover will be void under the following conditions:
- If the customer carries out part or full loading/unloading
- If items were not packed by professionals
- If payment has been withheld or delayed
Please note that minor cosmetic marks (e.g. on flat-pack or veneered furniture) may not be covered. Damage claims cannot be processed if we did not provide the packing service.
Liability Exclusions
We regret that we cannot accept liability for:
- Loss or damage to valuables including jewellery, cash, documents, or personal electronics
- Events beyond our control such as delays, acts of nature, or vermin
- Items left behind due to unclear instructions or inaccessible areas
- Damage or loss during customer-led loading/unloading
Cancellations & Postponements
A cancellation or rescheduling made within 48
working hours of your booking may be subject to a cancellation fee. We aim to be as flexible as possible and appreciate early notice where changes are required.
Storage Terms
- Our inventory list will be considered final unless disputed in writing within 18 days of issue
- Storage charges are payable in advance. Items will not be released until full cleared payment has been received
- We may adjust storage rates with 21 days’ written notice
- We reserve the right to request collection of stored items with 21 days’ notice. If items are not collected, we may dispose of or sell them to recover storage costs
- To terminate storage, 11 days’ written notice is required from the customer. Please note that a one-month storage fee may apply for early termination
- Our responsibility ends once items are collected by a third party on your behalf
Disposal or Sale of Goods
In cases of unpaid storage fees, and after giving
2 months’ written notice,
BriskRemoval.co.uk reserves the right to sell or dispose of your goods. Proceeds will be used to cover outstanding charges. Any remaining balance will be returned. No interest is payable on surplus funds.
Dangerous or Prohibited Items
For safety reasons, we do not transport or store:
- Explosives, flammable substances, gas cylinders
- Perishables, alcohol, tobacco, or infestation-prone items
- Animals or living creatures
- Refrigerated or frozen goods
- High-value items including jewellery, money, and electronics
- Cars, boats, caravans, or similar vehicles
- Furs, perfumes, spirits, or wines
Working Conditions & Crew Policy
- Our crew is entitled to a 15-minute break every 3 hours
- We do not remove shoes or enter lofts
- Customers are not permitted to travel in our vehicles
- Our crew will not disconnect gas or electrical items
- It is the customer’s responsibility to guide item placement at the destination
- We will not dismantle or assemble specialist manufacturer-fitted items
Job Conditions & Additional Charges
- Arrival times may vary due to traffic, weather, or other external conditions
- Emergency overnight storage: £299 per vehicle, plus redelivery charges
- Disposal charge: £150 ( Approx ) per half-tonne
- After-hours fees:
- After 5pm (Mon–Fri): £24 per person per hour
- After 5pm (Sat/Sun/Bank Holidays): £49 per person per hour
- Additional charges may apply where access exceeds 20 metres
- Waiting time requested by the customer: £69 per hour per vehicle
- Congestion charges and parking fines are passed on to the customer
- Customers must provide protective floor coverings where necessary
- Minor wear or scratches may not be covered by insurance
Right to Cancel or Refuse Service
BriskRemoval.co.uk reserves the right to suspend or cancel services in situations involving:
- Abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour
- Unsafe or hazardous conditions
- Legal restrictions or emergencies
Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, and by mutual agreement, either party may refer the matter to the
Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. This does not affect your legal right to pursue court proceedings if preferred.
Subcontracting
We may subcontract all or part of our services when required. These
Terms & Conditions continue to apply in full to all subcontracted work.
Route and Method
We reserve the right to determine the most appropriate method and route for carrying out services. Unless agreed otherwise, your items may share vehicle/container space with other consignments.
International Removals
While we are happy to assist with international move advice in good faith, the customer is responsible for confirming customs and legal requirements with the relevant authorities.
Governing Law
This agreement is governed by:
- The laws of England and Wales, if our head office is based there
- The laws of Scotland, if our primary place of business is based in Scotland
Forwarding Address
Please ensure a current forwarding address is provided. If not, we may publish public notices at your expense. All communications are considered received
7 days after posting.
Inventory & Receipts
Our delivery inventory and/or collection receipt will be considered accurate unless written notice of any discrepancy is received within
10 days.
Final Agreement
These
Terms & Conditions, together with your quotation, represent the entire agreement between you and
BriskRemoval.co.uk. Any changes must be confirmed in writing. Verbal agreements are not binding
